The key aim of the Bariatric Surgery Registry is to assess the safety and efficacy of bariatric surgery. It is a population-based registry which collates outcomes for patients undergoing bariatric surgery across the country, and aims to ensure the immediate and long-term quality and safety of bariatric procedures in Australia.
Dr Jordaan, who is the leading researcher at the Gold Coast Private Hospital for the BSR, has contributed data since 2012.
