Christmas Protein Rum Balls

Christmas Protein Rum Balls


  • ¾ cup sultanas
  • 1 cup desiccated coconut
  • 1 ½ cups almond meal
  • 2 tbsps. cacao powder
  • ¼ cup natural peanut butter
  • 3 tbsps. rice malt syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • 2 serves protein powder (Boomers un-flavoured works well)
  • Rum essence (enough to soak the sultanas in)


Place the sultanas in a small bowl and cover with rum essence and soak for at least 1hr or allow to soak overnight.

Melt the peanut butter over a low heat.

Place all ingredients into a blender and pulse until well combined.

Make into small balls and then roll through cacao powder. Place onto a flat tray and refrigerate for 1-2hrs.
