Dr Nova Jordaan

Bariatric Medical Practitioner

Dr Nova Jordaan is not accepting consultations at this time. Dr Nova Jordaan a bariatric medical doctor and surgical assistant. She has spent nearly a decade managing the medical needs of our weight loss surgery patients before and after surgery to enhance the safety and outcomes of our procedures. After attaining her medical degree at the University of Sydney she undertook further training in Obesity Medicine at Harvard Medical School.

Dr Nova Jordaan helps our patients achieve significant sustained weight loss coupled with long term quality of life by adjusting medications during the rapid resolution of weight related co-morbidities, troubleshooting side effects, and directing long term nutritional monitoring and supplementation for best outcomes. She presents at medical conferences and runs training seminars for doctors who want to learn more about optimising the medical management of bariatric surgery patients.

Dr Zara Mason

General Practitioner

Dr Mason completed her medical training in New Zealand in 1996. She worked in hospital medicine and completed a Masters of Public Health in Brisbane before training in General Practice in 2007.

She has an interest in prevention of illness, helping patients adopt a healthy lifestyle and in weight management.

Dr Mason enjoys bushwalking, traveling and taking care of her 3 children who keep her busy when she is not at work.

Seeing the changes in patients as their confidence increases and they start living their best lives!

How do you help your patients?

I help by educating patients on their new dietary patterns and eating behaviours. I aim to ensure patient’s long-term dietary changes are suited to their individual requirements and lifestyles.

Outside of work do you like to do for fun?

Spending time with friends and family at the beach and traveling.
